Who we are

Whyte Noise consists of Paisley musician Ciaran Whyte and his father Gordon Whyte.  Ciaran has a well-established solo career, playing in pubs and streets across Scotland and more recently in England and Germany.  He has a growing following on Facebook and TikTok.  Gordon, while being a Maths teacher, has always found the time to enjoy music, from playing in ceilidh bands to running music projects for young people.

Both Ciaran and Gordon are multi-instrumentalists, and the pair played all the instruments featured on ‘Long For Glencoe’, and for most of the songs on the new album.  Ciaran’s mum, Susan, added additional backing vocals to make the song a truly family affair.

Whyte Noise will launch their full album, ‘What We Love To Do’, in Glasgow on Thursday 17th  July at the Clutha Bar in Glasgow with a full backing band, before playing at the Sound of Iona festival on Saturday 19th July and then appearing at the Edinburgh Festival (August 2-24) for daily performances on the Royal Mile.
